Holidays should be a time for joy and celebration but for many families this year it will be a time for worry. Some families in our community are dealing with the challenges of the pandemic, illness, or restricted social gatherings. Others are struggling to feed their children and often those around them are not aware of the need for support. As our holiday project this year we are asking for donations of gift cards that will be used to help families in our feeder pattern who are dealing with food insecurity. The Lassiter Food Pantry has been busier than ever and need is high this time of year.

From December 3 to December 11 we will be collecting gift cards from grocery stores, such as Publix, Kroger, Target, and Walmart.

Students will deliver the cards to the Media Center between 8:45 and 9:15 each morning and leave them in the box under the book tree.

The gift cards will be collected and distributed to Mabry families and then combined with donations from other schools in our feeder pattern for further distribution by our School Social Worker.

We appreciate the generosity that the Mabry family has always shown in supporting our community. May your holiday season be filled with love, family, peace, and hope.
