They can be purchased at many stores, including Walmart and Amazon. 'ANGST' Documentary Viewing at Walton High School
Tuesday, September 10th, 6pm Walton High School Theater Tickets are Free - Seating is limited Walton High School will hold a special screening of the documentary ANGST in partnership with Axis Hope LLC, to open up a dialogue between local families, community leaders and mental health experts around anxiety. The event will feature a viewing of the 56-minute film, followed by an informative panel discussion led by Dr. Ganielle Hooper of Axis Hope and other mental health experts from the community. Through candid interviews, ANGST utilizes the power of film to tell the stories of many kids and teens who discuss their anxiety and its impacts on their lives and relationships, as well as how they’ve found solutions and hope. The film also includes a special interview with Michael Phelps, a mental health advocate and one of the greatest athletes of all-time. In addition, the documentary provides discussions with mental health experts about the causes of anxiety and its sociological effects, along with the help, resources and tools available to address the condition. The East Cobber Parade is coming up on Saturday (9/14) and we will be celebrating Mabry’s "Teacher of the Year," Daniela Martucci and Debbie Dempsey, "Classified Employee of the Year," We are inviting the Mabry community to come out and cheer on Mrs. Martucci & Mrs. Dempsey as they pass by along the parade route. CONGRATULATORY POSTERS & SIGNS ARE ENCOURAGED!!!
DONATIONS NEEDED: We are in need of bagged candy donations for them to throw out to the crowds along the parade route. There will be a candy collection bin inside the Mabry front office for dropping off donations until Friday 9/13. Please NO CHOCOLATE CANDY, as it melts too quickly.
Parent Information Sessions for the Cobb County Magnet Programs have been scheduled for the following dates and times:
Thursday, September 5th at South Cobb High School from 6:30 – 8:00pm Tuesday, September 10th at North Cobb High School from 6:30 – 8:00pm These sessions are for prospective Magnet families. The sessions are designed to give parents an overview of each of the programs and clarify the application process. Parents may attend either session. Mabry students will have their own session at school on September 4th.

Duty Free Lunch What is Duty Free Lunch? Duty Free Lunch allows our teachers to get a break from lunch duty. During this time, parent volunteers hang out in the cafeteria and keep an eye on the students while they are eating lunch. Click Here To Volunteer!

Lassiter Junior Wrestling 
Lassiter Junior Wrestling is a youth / middle school wrestling club dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of the sport of wrestling. All children ages 6-14 are eligible to participate. We will cap registration at 50 wrestlers this season. First practice is Monday Nov. 4, 2019. Regular practices will end on Thursday Jan 30, 2020. There will be training dates/locations set during February for those wrestlers planning on attending the novice championships and youth state wrestling tournament. There will be a mandatory parent meeting (New and returning parents) Tuesday October 29th at 6:45 PM at Lassiter HS in the cafeteria to meet the new Coaching staff and answer all questions about the season.
